I am a Landscape Architect in Kenya, a Writer and a Lecturer. Am a partner at LanCAD Landscapes, a leading Landscape design and build firm in East Africa. I write for the Standard’s Home and Away magazine on Thursday and Eve Weekly Magazine on Sunday. I also contribute to other Design publications and journals including Homes Kenya Magazine and The Architectural Association of Kenya’s Newsletter. I Lecture at the School of Architecture and Building Science at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. I also serve as the registrar of the Landscape Architects Chapter of the Architectural Association of Kenya.
Away from work, am blessed with a beautiful wife and two adorable daughters. Am passionate about the environment and governance. I believe our primary role on earth is to care for and enhance our environment and to help the less fortunate in society. I believe all governance systems and leaders should prioritize these two issues if Africa is to develop sustainably. I also strongly believe that economic progression can walk hand in hand with environmental conservation; that we don’t have to destroy our environment and cultural heritage to realize economic development.
